Position: Director of the Interdisciplinary Counseling Center, Psychologist

Employed Since: 2003

I am a Psychologist with a specialization in Educational Psychology and Child and Adolescent Psychology. Since 2003, I have worked at the "RODION PAIDEIA" schools as an active psychologist in the fields of counseling and psychosocial support for children, adolescents, and parents. I am a member of the Panhellenic Psychological Association (P.Ψ.Σ.) and hold a license to practice psychology (License No. 8093). My scientific and professional training has been shaped by studies and post-graduate education both in Greece and abroad. I have also specialized in social and occupational psychology and have extensive experience in career counseling and teacher training. My expertise includes the evaluation and treatment of emotional and learning difficulties, pervasive developmental disorders, and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) using a combination of methods and interactive materials.
I have lived and worked abroad, with Belgium being a significant station where I resided for eight years. During my professional career, I worked in human resources management as a Recruiter/Personnel Consultant at Manpower S.A. Belgium. I had the opportunity to participate in a cross-border knowledge exchange program in Spain, serving as a counselor and program manager at the Employment Promotion Center "KALLIPATEIRA" of the Municipality of Rhodes. I have been involved in implementing programs and designing and writing research-based studies related to developing and providing counseling, psychosocial support, and social and occupational integration services for women, youth, and socially vulnerable groups within the framework of the EQUAL community initiative. This initiative aimed to promote new practices to combat all forms of discrimination and inequality in the labor market on a national level and encourage the social and professional integration of these target groups.
I am an authorized A-TEST (school readiness) collaborator and certified in administering and analyzing standardized psychometric evaluation tools for cognitive processes and skills-abilities. With a passion for my field and a goal of continuous professional development, I regularly attend conferences and training sessions in my industry. My most recent certifications include the WISC-V Gr from MOTIBO ASSESSMENT, an officially approved seminar organizer for standardized tests of NCS PEARSON Inc in Greece, and the Ariston test from Computer Academy Psychometric Series.
I am the founder and scientific director of the Interdisciplinary Counseling Center at the "RODION PAIDEIA" schools.

quotations2
I was born in Rhodes, hail from Rethymno, Crete, and have an older sister, Evangelia, who studied tourism management. My father, Odysseus, a retired army officer, and my mother, Argyro, who studied tourism sciences, raised us with much love and taught us valuable values, such as fairness, self-respect, love for our fellow humans, and the importance of offering our best through our work and personal activities.
I love traveling, horseback riding, walking in nature, themed culinary evenings with close friends, and a book related to my field is always on my nightstand. I am always moved by a child's spontaneous hug and smile. I am constantly inspired by my daughter, Margot, whom I adore and consider the little miracle of my life.
I believe that for the world to start changing, each of us needs to look within ourselves, and for the change to be complete, we need to look at our children! It is important for all of us to have the strength and resilience to fight for them in our own way. Only then can we hope for a better tomorrow. If I could contribute even a small part to this change through my role as a school psychologist, I would feel fulfilled as a scientist, human being, and mother.
