I was born in Rhodes, though my ancestry includes roots from Sparta, Chalki, and Crete. At the age of thirteen, I moved to Athens, where I completed my schooling. I studied Biology at the University of Patras and continued my studies in Biochemistry, completing a two-year thesis on cancer and antimetastatic drugs in experimental animals. The laboratory feels like my natural habitat, and I strive to instill this same sense of belonging in my students.
I chose to return to Rhodes, married my beloved Nikitas, and decided to pursue a career in education. I have been with "RODION PEDIA" from the very beginning, thanks to my prior collaboration with Mr. Kyriakoulis at the "Thetiko" tutoring center. It has been a long journey with worthy companions, all dedicated to providing the best education for our children, guided by our love for them.
I have taught all grades in both middle and high school, and in recent years, I have focused on high school. I have been preparing students for the final year exams (G' Lyceum) for 30 years, achieving significant results. It's a challenging year that deeply bonds you with the students. I coordinate the Biology teachers and am responsible for the school's laboratory. I enjoy participating with my students in competitions such as the Panhellenic Biology Competition and the Bioethics Competition, where our students have earned significant distinctions. We also participate in all school events, always seeking knowledge through alternative methods.
I believe in the necessity of continuous education, so I regularly attend teaching seminars offered by the Panhellenic Association of Bioscientists, of which I am a member. Additionally, I attend seminars from the University of the Aegean on topics of interest to me, such as Sexual Education in Schools and Educational Organization and Management.
I support the Blood Donation drive with my G' Lyceum students, considering it an ultimate act of humanity and social solidarity. I also lead initiatives to help the Rhodes Animal Shelter with my A' Lyceum students, driven by my lifelong love for dogs, with whom I have shared my life.
I find peace and relaxation by the sea, as swimming is my favorite hobby. I aspire to become a winter swimmer as well. I love to travel because I need a variety of images, people, mentalities, and cultures in my life!
