Employed Since: 2004
I graduated from the University of Glasgow in 1991 before moving to Greece to embark on a teaching career in English, which has now spanned over 30 years.
I began teaching in Athens and, after several years, continued teaching English at a well-known language school in Rhodes. In 2004, I happily joined the "RODION PAIDEIA" family, where I have been teaching English to secondary school students, preparing them for lower and higher-level certifications, including the Cambridge First (Lower) and Cambridge Proficiency exams. I am committed daily to encouraging my students to bring out their best, while ensuring that "RODION PAIDEIA" has been a "British Council Cambridge Examinations Platinum member" for over a decade. Additionally, I teach Junior classes at "RODION Mathisis" and lead the "Time Traveler" and "English Adventures" clubs for primary school students after school.
Since 2013, I have been the Coordinator of the Foreign Languages Department, actively involved in training fellow teachers and guiding students towards achieving foreign language qualifications.
In 2004, I played a pivotal role in creating and developing the highly successful Summer School program at "RODION PAIDEIA."
In 2013, I trained through the British Council in Athens to become a UK Education Agent and have since facilitated many "RODION PAIDEIA" students in securing places at top UK universities.
My greatest passion is reading, and I have introduced literature programs across the school, offering students the opportunity to engage with the wonderful world of books.
I am also an active member of the Multilingual Families Association of Rhodes, which educates children about their multicultural heritage and highlights the value of living in a balanced natural environment.
I am married to Anastasios and have two children who graduated from "RODION PAIDEIA." My daughter, Aimilia, completed her studies at the University of Strathclyde with an MSci in Applied Chemistry and Mechanical Engineering and now works as a Chemical Engineer (Distinction) in Athens. My son, Adam, graduated from the University of Strathclyde with an MEng in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (Distinction) and works as an Electrical Engineer in the United Kingdom.
