I was born in Rhodes on a spring day in March, a few years before my brother, Giannis. I am accompanied by Eleni and am the father of Panagiotis. I attended schools in Ialysos and participated in various activities and sports competitions organized by local clubs.
My initial steps in the professional world involved working in the tourism industry while studying Accounting at a vocational training institute (IEK). However, my passion for computers and technology led me to seek new goals. One of these was enrolling in an IEK program specializing in "Computer Systems and Software Technician." Wanting to further specialize in specific topics within my field, I attended various training seminars and earned certifications in annual and six-month programs on programming, website design and promotion, the "Internet of Things" (IoT), Android app development, data analysis, and more.
In the distant and epic year of 2004 (Euro 2004), the General Director of "RODION PAIDIA" identified both my knowledge and certain aspects of my character and sharpness, and entrusted me with one of the most critical roles within the organization—the position of Information Systems Manager. Initially, my duties mainly involved installing and maintaining computers, networks, and telephone systems, developing and maintaining websites, e-shops, and reservation systems, managing databases, providing technical and technological support for events, and developing software.
As a member of this educational organization, I gained new motivations, which is why the philosophy behind all the applications I have developed is centered on eliminating bureaucracy, ensuring the smooth operation of all school departments, and facilitating faster and easier communication with parents and students.
Among the applications I have developed are the Canteen and Restaurant Management Software (commercial management, purchases using prepaid cards, and parent notifications regarding purchases and card balance), Counseling Center Management applications, Payroll Management, Room Reservations and Event Planning, Printing and Costing by Department, Parent-Teacher Meetings guided by an electronic board, Tutorial Financial Management and lesson hour tracking, Self-Test Result Submission with automated gate control, as well as Pool Maintenance and other Facility Equipment Management applications, and Maintenance and Cleaning Department Task Management applications.
My collaboration with Mr. Kyriakoulis and Mr. Tsinna, along with countless studies, tests, and improvement proposals for technological systems, resulted in the implementation of many innovative ideas and applications, both at the administrative and auxiliary levels of the organization, as well as in the educational process. In fact, these applications and tools contributed to our school being recognized as one of the 417 Microsoft Showcase Schools worldwide and one of the pioneering schools in Greece, as mentioned in an article by the newspaper "Kathimerini».
I should also mention that I speak Greek and English, but the languages that interest me the most are those of computers, such as C / C++, Visual Basic, Python, Filemaker Pro, PHP, HTML, CSS, JAVA, MySQL, among others.
