I think it was in 2002 when I first started "teaching" my little brother. It was such a beautiful feeling, almost addictive, I must say. The moment when his confused and frowning face suddenly lit up with satisfaction and joy at his victory was also my victory. That must have been when the teaching "bug" bit me...
Since then, I've been fortunate enough to cross paths with brilliant teachers who served as an endless source of inspiration and made me love this profession even more. Today, I have the joy of collaborating with one of those exceptional people.
During my studies at the University of Crete, in the Department of Physics, an idea that had been forming in the lecture halls and reading rooms finally took shape. By the time I graduated, I had all the reasons and stimuli I was looking for to pursue the career I wanted.
My journey then led me to London, England, where I completed my studies at Goldsmiths College, University of London, and obtained my PGCE. I worked at one of London's most multicultural schools, Park View School, where I gained invaluable and thrilling experiences that played a significant role in shaping who I am today as both a person and a teacher.
Many wonderful reasons led me to return to Greece and find a home at a school, "RODION PAIDEIA," where I found everything I was looking for and more. It's a place that fosters creativity and innovation, a place where everyone embraced me from the very first moment, a school quite different from the others.
Since 2021, I have been striving to help my students see Physics and Chemistry through my eyes. It's an endless journey, sometimes stormy, sometimes calm. But it forges good captains!
When I'm away from the classroom, I try to spend time with my family, my beloved wife Vasiliki, and our wonderful son, Andrikos. Being a cinephile, I can talk for hours about milestone films in cinema—except on Sundays. On Sundays, Panathinaikos plays, so after the traditional barbecue, another coach-commentator is born. In my efforts to keep my cholesterol in check, I play tennis, football, basketball, and, most recently, Padel.
