I was born and raised in Kalymnos. From my school years, I observed people and imagined what they were like as children, which led me to study at the Department of Primary Education at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA). The scholarship awarded to me by NKUA further solidified my decision.
I continued my studies at the European University Cyprus (EUC), where I completed my postgraduate studies in Special and Inclusive Education. My brief involvement in research led to a study on the use of the Arts in Primary Schools of the Dodecanese and a scientific article published in the Mentor Journal of Scientific and Educational Research by the Institute of Educational Policy, Issue 20.
In addition to NKUA and EUC, I hold certifications from the University of Cambridge, the French Institute of Greece, and Microsoft. Throughout my career, I have continuously pursued professional development, accumulating numerous certificates that I struggle to keep organized.
I joined "RODION PAIDIA" in 2010 and found an educational environment that supports my desire to continually grow into the educator I aspire to be. Since 2015, I have been the Educational Program Coordinator for 1st and 2nd grades.
I have had the privilege of teaching hundreds of children to read, write, and understand mathematical concepts—fundamental skills for interpreting the world. However, I consider myself even luckier for the lessons I learn each year from my students.
I understand that children need both security and challenges, and I strive to be creative, providing my students with an environment that balances structure with adventure.
I am known for my exceptional ability to listen to long stories with minimal coherence and specialize in offering high-quality hugs. I "see" with my ears and "hear" with my eyes.
I believe the world would be better if more people had a sense of humor and dedicated time to play. I love music, books, spending time with friends, and traveling through life with Dionysis and our children, Savas and Irene.
